Luxury coach tours to Bath will later this month be in with a chance of seeing some of the celebrations that make up the Jane Austen Festival.

The event is running from September 17th to 25th and will celebrate the life and talent of writer Jane Austen, according to Visit Bath.

Part of the event will be a costumed parade along the largest regency promenade in Europe, where visitors can see an array of period outfits on display.

This takes place on September 18th, with dance workshops being hosted the following day, teaching attendees some traditional moves.

Meanwhile, the September 24th Country Dance is an informal gathering in St Swithin's Church, which will also feature a hot supper.

Other attractions include smaller soirees, theatre shows, concerts, talks, dress-up food and walking tours.

In other news, the National Gardening Show begins tomorrow (September 3rd) at the Bath & West Showground.
