Those on a luxury mini coach trip to Bath this month may be able
to enjoy a unique visit to one of the city's main
attractions.
The famous Roman Baths are offering visitors the chance to explore
the site at night by torchlight throughout August.
According to Visit Bath, the sight of the ancient building
illuminated by the flames is a wonder to behold.
"By the light of flickering torches, you can walk on 2,000-year-old
pavements and really sense the spirits of the ancients, providing a
truly magical atmosphere which no other venue can surpass," the
tourism body claimed.
The site features a host of Roman artefacts, as well as its famous
steaming baths, which make up the heart of the Unesco World
Heritage Site.
Built by the Romans, the baths are situated close to the UK's only
hot spring and still flow with the naturally warm water.
Other attractions in the city include the Jane Austen Centre -
which celebrates Bath's most famous literary resident.
