An organisation in Windsor is inviting members of the public to come and see how it operates as part of an open day this month.

Taking place on Sunday (September 5th), the Swan Lifeline event will welcome anyone looking for a day of fun and offer them an education about its work.

The group will host games, serve refreshments by the river and offer a variety of stalls, competitions and entertainment.

Beginning at 11:00 BST, the event will also feature a home composting display, rescue stories and a chance to hear about the Mute Swan.

Eton, where Swan Lifeline is based, is a popular destination for those on luxury coach tours, who will be more than welcome at the event.

Free parking is available, but tourists might enjoy taking the French Brothers' river cruise from Windsor if heading to the event.

Meanwhile, Swan Lifeline recently announced that it has signed up Olympic gold medallist Mark Hunter as a patron.
