Paris Weekend Breaks

Paris Weekend Breaks Looking for Paris Eurostar tours?
Paris Eurostar tours are the perfect way to explore the French capital without the fuss of the airport or having to organise excursions individually.

Having a tour manager to advise on the best places to visit during free time is just one of the benefits of visiting what is arguably the world's most romantic city with Anderson Tours.

The trip includes a guided tour of the city's top sites, as well as an enjoyable return journey from London's St Pancras International on the famous Eurostar train.

Taking three days and two nights, there is plenty of time factored in for tourists to explore the wonderful sites around Paris and even take in one of its cabaret shows or river cruises.

Bed and breakfast accommodation is provided in hotels with en-suite bathrooms to ensure that guests can get a good night's sleep in a comfortable and private room. This enables them to tour the French capital feeling relaxed and refreshed.

The hotel can also store tourists' bags after they have checked out on the third day, allowing them to make the most of their time exploring Paris.
Explore Paris - tour the wonderful city
One of the highlights of the trip is the guided coach tour of the city, which takes in some world-famous sites.

When exploring the city, visitors often head straight for the main attractions - the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre and the Arc de Triomphe.

The Eiffel Tower is perhaps Europe's most recognisable landmark and stands at 324m tall. Designed by Gustave Eiffel, the attraction was built for the 1889 World Exhibition.

Despite its reputation today as one of the world's top tourist attractions, the tower caused controversy when it was built, with claims that it would not fit in with Paris' landscape.

It was only supposed to last for the duration of the exhibition, but still stands today, more than 120 years on.

Meanwhile, the Arc de Triomphe was commissioned by Napoleon Bonaparte in the early 1800s in celebration of his many victories in battle.

Ironically, the French leader was removed from power before his trophy structure could be completed. This may not be surprising, considering it took three decades to build.

Visitors to the Louvre will understand how one of the world's most famous museums was once a palace, with its spectacular architecture and opulent interior.

The attraction is now one of the most visited museums on earth and contains numerous famous works of art, including the Mona Lisa.

Notre Dame Cathedral, the Centre Pompidou, the Pont Neuf and the Sacre-Coeur are other top sites that feature on most Parisian tourists' 'to-do' lists.
