About Brussels...

Brussels is the capital of the French-speaking part of Belgium, Flanders, and the administrative headquarters for the European Union and the National Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). Because of these international associations, there are more ambassadors in Brussels then in Washington D.C.!

Besides their political associations, Brussels is unfairly overlooked in Europe, but is a delightful destination. It has architecture from medieval times like the Grand Palace, all the way to modern buildings like the EU's Parliament. Notable museums include the Museum of Modern Art and the Royal Museum of Fine Arts of Belgium with works from Flemish greats such as Brueghel and Anthony VanDyck. The city is famous as well for its food, including the local waffle, chocolate, French fries and a variety of beer at the many brasseries.
