Boulogne is divided into two parts - the old town ,”Ville Haute” and the new town, “Ville Basse." Ville Haute is medieval in style and enclosed by a stone wall. It is dominated by a large cathedral. Ville Basse has streets lined with bars, patisseries and many typically French shops.
